SUMMARY:Kayak with Emerging Professionals
DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, August 21\, 2016 12:45pm – 02:45pm \nWhere: Sepulveda Basin section of the LA River\, the cleanest section per Heal the Bay’s July 2016 Report. \nEvent Description : Get a visceral understanding of the LA River and why its one of the biggest landscape opportunities in Southern California. This 2.5-mile long trip will be on the “Sepulveda Basin” section of the LA River\, which is a wonderfully green\, leisurely\, flatwater paddle\, with deeper water and few obstacles. It’s located within a large recreational park in the San Fernando Valley\, surrounded by neighborhoods such as: Encino\, Van Nuys\, Sherman Oaks\, Tarzana\, Reseda and Canoga Park. \nThis is the site of the original guided kayak trips and is the most natural setting of all the LA River’s green stretches\, including the only parts of the river that have no concrete at all on the bottom or sides. \nThe tour will include two guides from LA River Expeditions who will provide paddling instruction and details about the river. \nPrice: $30 per person. (Kayak\, helmet\, life jacket and all safety equipment is provided) \nLimited to 14 people \nContact : Jean Yang (jeanaliceyang@gmail.com) for any questions \nBuy your ticket at here \nhttp://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2588053
