The focus of the emerging professional committee is to coordinate and maintain a group of emerging professionals in the field of Landscape Architecture and to provide meetings, educational seminars, study groups and social events to meet and encourage all members of this group. students and emerging professionals can significantly benefit from interaction with practicing landscape architects. This exposure can enhance a student’s education by introducing them to the professional world, providing important learning resources, and potentially connecting them with future employment opportunities. In addition, ASLA chapters benefit from the energy, optimism, and talented students and emerging professionals provide.

What is an Emerging Professional?

• Current student of a Landscape Architecture program
• Licensure candidate preparing for the LARE
• Recent licensed Landscape Architect professional within the past 5 years

ASLA has several membership levels that are economical for members of this group to get started. We are committed to helping students find the right individual path from education through experience through testing to become a licensed landscape architect. We also want to help those graduates with industry related experience to get ready for the LARE with seminars and workshops. Finally, we want to provide assistance to the newly licensed practitioners in networking for employment and project collaboration.
