For over 40 years, the Quality-of-Life Design Awards has been the signature event of our chapter—an event held every other year that goes far beyond the presentation of awards. It’s a time for our community to come together in celebration of our profession, our students, our Fellows, and all who contribute to the field of landscape architecture.
This year began in unimaginable ways, with the devastating Los Angeles wildfires in January impacting many of our members, friends, and colleagues. Yet, as landscape architects, we have always responded with unity and resilience—just as we did after the Northridge Earthquake in 1996 and again following 9/11.
