We’re excited to begin planning for the ASLA 2026 Conference on Landscape Architecture, taking place September 16-18, 2026, in Los Angeles. As the Host Chapter, SoCal ASLA will play a central role in shaping the conference experience, and we invite you to join our kick-off meeting on December 18 to learn how you can get involved.

During this meeting, we’ll introduce the planning process, highlight the various committees, and share opportunities for leadership and volunteer participation.

Host Chapter Planning Committees:

  • Host Chapter Booth – Serve as the welcoming hub for attendees, showcasing chapter programs, sharing local knowledge, and coordinating booth volunteers.
  • Women in Landscape Architecture (WILA) Walk – Help plan an accessible, high-participation walk that starts and ends at the convention center.
  • Public Relations, Communications & Marketing – Support press outreach, social media, brand messaging, and coordinated marketing efforts to promote the conference.
  • ASLA Legacy Project – Partner with a local school to design a community-focused project that leaves a lasting impact on the host city.
  • Field Session Planning – Assist with identifying, developing, and coordinating high-quality field sessions submitted through the annual Call for Presentations.
  • Student Sketch Crawl – Work with local universities to plan a pre-conference student sketching experience that explores the city and builds community.

We hope you’ll join us and help shape an inspiring and memorable conference in 2026.
