This year’s theme, “The Growing Importance of Outdoors,” speaks to what we already know. The outdoors is a crucial part of our existence. It became more evident to others during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a community, people spoke out about the lack of it in some neighborhoods, and the abundance in others. Our backyards became respites from home schooling, working from home, and places to see others more safely.
The award presentation will be held at the Omni Hotel Los Angeles, “outdoor” Water Court Plaza on September 30.
