A brief presentation and discussion regarding the historical development patterns that have contributed to what Palm Desert is today and what it can be in the future. The lecture will highlight some of the more positive features associated with the built environment of our community, as well as some of the elements that might be missing. Our decisions moving forward have the opportunity to make a considerable improvement to the livability, as well as the economic well being of the community.
Included will be a discussion on how the local environmental design community needs to be involved in the process to help guide the city forward with future developments, as well as influencing what the architectural identity of Palm Desert should represent.
