OUR 2027 PRESIDENT: JARED MCKNIGHT, ASLA

ASLA Southern California is built on a legacy of advocacy, a commitment to service, and a dedication to strengthening the connections that bring our landscape architecture community together. Across our vast and remarkably diverse chapter, we are fortunate to represent an extraordinary network of landscape architects, designers, students, educators, and allied professionals whose work continues to expand the impact and relevance of landscape architecture.

I am beyond honored and excited to step into the role of President of our ASLA Southern California Chapter this September as we welcome the ASLA 2026 Conference on Landscape Architecture to Los Angeles. Over the next year, I look forward to meeting more of you, better understanding how ASLA can support and advocate for our members and the profession, and creating more opportunities for us to connect, learn from one another, and celebrate the incredible work happening across our region. I am equally honored to carry forward the legacy of the leaders who have served our chapter before me, and especially grateful to Melanie Buffa for her leadership, dedication, and service to our community throughout her term.
