POSITION OVERVIEW
BMLA is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Project Manager currently working within the profession for 5-8 year and experience in Irrigation Design. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask and have a strong aptitude for working in a collaborative, team-focused environment. We use Land/FX software with an irrigation module tailored to our standards. Initially, you will work closely with our Sr. Project Managers but eventually manage multiple projects and delegate to the landscape designers within the studio. You will also have the opportunity to take on independent tasks and expand your expertise. Additionally, you’ll be involved in a variety of projects and contribute to every phase of the landscape design process, including site analysis, conceptual design, and construction documentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary design team.
- Contribute to conceptual design, irrigation design, and construction documentation.
- Utilize tools such as Land/FX, Photoshop, SketchUp, Lumion, and GIS to create compelling designs and presentations.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Advanced schematic and conceptual design skills
- Excellent hand sketching, written and verbal skills
- Advanced knowledge of Southern California planting design
- Experience in hardscape design and construction detailing
- Ability to manage clients, consultants, and attend meetings
- Ability to work independently along with mentoring junior designers
- Experience in construction administration
- Ability to meet project timelines and client expectations
- Experience with designing with budgets in mind
- Organization, time management, and communication skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
- Experience with Land/FX preferred
- Experience with EMWD, the County of Riverside and Valley Wide preferred
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture

COMPENSATION
Salary is commensurate with experience, ranging from $32 to $38 per hour including full benefit package.
