A Participatory Environmental Art Project
Many unique globes of the earth created by artists will be linked to their own blog on the Carry the EARTH website. The globes will be passed from hand to hand around the planet inspiring the carriers of the earth to donate actions that help the environment and post their story on the blogsite.
This art project is about a globe and its individual carrier. It is about the tracked path of the globe and the connective thread of its path that bonds people of the earth. It is about the very personal stories of the carriers of the globe and their cumulative actions. It is about each individual’s small contribution– a droplet in the ocean of time that hopefully will inspire a tidal wave of change. It is about the fact that all of humanity share the same home, our EARTH, and along with it the responsibility to protect it, each in our own personal way.
