Position: Senior Landscape Designer

HKLA is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Landscape Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for a designer with strong conceptual and technical abilities who is passionate about design excellence and eager to contribute to high-quality, impactful projects.

The selected candidate will play a key role in advancing design concepts through all project phases, with a particular focus on design development and construction documentation. You will work closely with firm leadership and project teams to translate design intent into thoughtful, well-executed landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to design development from concept through construction
Prepare and support design development and construction documentation
Translate conceptual ideas into clear, buildable design solutions
Collaborate with internal team members, consultants, and clients
Assist in preparing presentation materials and design graphics
Support coordination of project deliverables and deadlines

Qualifications

4–8 years of professional experience in a design-focused landscape architecture firm
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture
Strong conceptual, graphic, and technical design skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and related design software
Experience with design development and construction documentation
Knowledge of landscape systems and sustainable design practices
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
Desire for continued professional growth within a design-driven practice
