Landscape Architecture Urban Design Visual Management
Position Overview
We’re looking for a driven and design-forward Mid-Level Landscape Associate ready to make an impact. With 3–5 years of experience, you’ll step into a hands-on role contributing to complex, high-visibility transportation projects. This is an opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle—helping turn ambitious ideas into built realities that define the public realm.
What You’ll Do
Design compelling landscapes for highways, light rail corridors, and major infrastructure systems
Translate ideas into reality through site analysis, concept design, and detailed construction documentation
Collaborate closely with engineers, planners, and multidisciplinary teams to solve complex challenges
Craft engaging visual presentations for clients, agencies, and public audiences
Support project delivery through scheduling, coordination, and technical documentation
What You Bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture
3–5 years of experience in transportation or infrastructure design (Caltrans experience strongly preferred)
Strong command of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and/or Rhino
Clear communication skills and confidence working with diverse stakeholders
Understanding of large-scale grading, planting design, and material systems
Licensure (or progress toward it) is a plus
