NUVIS is proud to welcome Pamela Brief, PLA, ASLA as their new Los Angeles Studio Director and Senior Principal. Pamela will be responsible for project team leadership, business development, project design direction, as well as general management responsibilities.
She joins the NUVIS team from Pamela Studios Inc., in La Crescenta, CA. As President and Founder of Pamela Studios, she designed and managed numerous domestic and international projects. Most recently she has focused on both public and private works in Los Angeles County. She has a deep understanding and appreciation for the Los Angeles area.
Prior to founding her firm she worked at many award-winning firms including P.O.D., Emmet Wemple & Associates, The Jerde Partnership, ValleyCrest Design Group, and Walt Disney Imagineering. Pamela started at Walt Disney Imagineering as an area development designer on Disneyland Paris. From there, her 15 years at WDI included senior assignments at Disneyland Paris, MGM Studios Paris, Animal Kingdom, Indiana Jones Adventure, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Tokyo Disney Sea. In addition, Pamela managed the Rockwork Engineering department, overseeing the design and documentation process.
Pamela comes to NUVIS with over 30 years of experience in master planning and landscape architecture. She is currently serving as President of the Southern California Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA/SCC) and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture and a Minor in Business from The Ohio State University.
