Green Schoolyards America is organizing working groups around the idea of using outdoor school space, parks, and other outdoor areas to provide places for students to go to school. In addition, they are working with the Lawrence Foundation, Ten Strands, and others to match currently unemployed nature and informal science educators with schools to mutually benefit both. See the recorded webinar to learn more about the proposal.

There are two ways you, as landscape architecture students, faculty, and professionals, can help:

  1. Please forward this email to K-12 schools, including the elementary, middle, and high schools you attended. The resources are relevant and needed for all schools: public, private, and religious.

If you would like to support this effort by volunteering to partner with K-12 schools looking for help (with faculty support for student volunteers), please sign up here (there is also a sheet for K-12 schools to sign up if they want help): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1klMuUCWBMpgC9V0xXl2GkKsJQsqvWds6A8zhbSgw6O8/edit?usp=sharing
