The UCLA Extension Landscape Architecture Certificate Program has received reaccreditation for a six-year term from the Landscape Architects Technical Committee (LATC). LATC is a California state-appointed committee responsible for evaluating and accrediting educational programs that prepare candidates for licensure as landscape architects. The committee’s mission is to uphold rigorous academic, professional, and ethical standards that support public health, safety, and welfare through excellence in landscape architecture education.

The reaccreditation followed a comprehensive review process, including a site visit in July 2025, during which LATC members conducted an in-depth, on-site evaluation at UCLA Extension. This review examined curriculum content, instructional quality, student work, faculty credentials, facilities, and alignment with professional competencies and licensure requirements. The committee also met with faculty, administrators, and students to assess the overall educational experience and program outcomes. The six-year reaccreditation represents the maximum term granted and reflects LATC’s confidence in the strength, rigor, and continued advancement of the program. It affirms UCLA Extension’s commitment to providing high-quality, professionally relevant education and ensures that graduates of the certificate program continue to meet the standards required for professional practice and licensure pathways.
